Web Design

Wilton Congregational Church Website

Tasked with visually redesigning the website, I focused on refining the aesthetics while also improving the organization and structure of the content. By redistributing information in a more logical way, I enhanced accessibility and navigation, ensuring users could easily find what they needed. Scroll down to view the process I took in doing so.

Website Sitemap

I first simplified the sitemap by organizing related content, consolidating service pages and creating clear sections for visitors and new members. This streamlined the navigation, making it easy for users to find key information like service times and church details.

Next, I created a mood board to define the overall stylistic tone through a curated color palette and visual elements. The chosen colors set the mood and enhance readability, while the design style ensures a cohesive and engaging user experience.

Wireframes

These are some of the wireframes, focusing on structuring the home and volunteer page with a clear, user-friendly layout. The layout prioritizes clarity and engagement, establishing hierarchy, spacing, and key content placement to ensure intuitive navigation and accessibility.

Final Website Design

The full website and its mobile versions take into account the priority of information based on the form of which the website is being viewed and the type of user that would be on each. Focusing on accessibility and the user journey, this website’s design prioritizes ease of use.
